Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Kigali.

Depending on your arrival time, you may participate in a Kigali city tour, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, explore local craft markets and cultural centres, or simply relax before beginning your Rwanda safari adventure.

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, depart Kigali and begin the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda.

The journey offers breathtaking views of Rwanda's rolling hills, beautiful countryside and local villages.

Upon arrival, check in at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing while enjoying the peaceful volcanic surroundings.

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today after an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by the park rangers regarding gorilla trekking guidelines and safety procedures.

Following the briefing, you will be allocated to a gorilla family and transferred to the trekking start point.

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, begin your unforgettable trek through the rainforest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere between 1 to 7 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorilla family.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat while taking photographs and learning more about their behaviour and social interactions.

Afterwards, return to the lodge for relaxation and leisure time.

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast, check out and begin the scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park located in southern Rwanda.

Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of tea plantations, rolling hills, rural communities and scenic countryside landscapes.

You may also visit a coffee farm along the way depending on time and availability.

Arrive at Nyungwe Top View Lodge in the afternoon and enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings.

Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before beginning your chimpanzee trekking experience.

Guided by experienced ranger guides, trek through the rainforest in search of chimpanzees and other primates found within Nyungwe Forest.

After the trek, return for lunch and later enjoy the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk offering spectacular aerial views over the rainforest and surrounding landscapes.

Later, return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Transfer to Akagera National Park

Today after breakfast, depart and begin the journey to the famous Akagera National Park located in eastern Rwanda.

The drive offers scenic views across Rwanda's beautiful landscapes and countryside.

Upon arrival at Akagera, check in at Akagera Game Lodge and relax while enjoying views of the savannah plains and nearby lakes.

Classic Game Viewing Safari and Lake Ihema Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through Akagera National Park, Rwanda's savannah wildlife destination.

The park is home to a wide range of wildlife including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you may spot hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water and shore birds along the shoreline.

Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Kigali

Today after breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Kigali.

Enjoy the scenic drive through Rwanda's beautiful countryside while looking out for wildlife and landscapes you may have missed during the previous days.

Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport or your preferred hotel depending on your departure schedule.
