10 Days Safari in Uganda
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed
by your professional safari guide who will accompany you throughout the
journey. Your guide will brief you about the safari before transferring you
to your booked hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city experience
around Entebbe or simply relax at the hotel and prepare for the exciting
days ahead. Dinner and overnight at the booked accommodation.
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, begin your journey from Kampala/Entebbe towards Murchison
Falls National Park, Uganda's largest national park.
Along the way, make a memorable stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided
rhino tracking experience. Spend time observing these magnificent animals
and learn about their behavior and conservation from the sanctuary's
experienced guides and caretakers.
After the rhino experience, continue towards Murchison Falls National Park.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and relax for the night.
Murchison Falls Game Drive & Hike to the Top of the Falls
After an early breakfast, meet your safari driver-guide and embark on a
morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park.
The park offers excellent opportunities to encounter wildlife including
elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, antelopes and, with luck,
predators such as lions and leopards.
Return to the lodge for lunch before preparing for the afternoon adventure.
Enjoy a boat ride along the River Nile towards the bottom of Murchison Falls,
where the hiking experience begins.
Follow the trail towards the Top of the Falls through beautiful vegetation,
with opportunities to see butterflies, flowers, birds and spectacular
landscapes. At the top, witness the Nile being forced through the narrow
gorge before plunging dramatically below.
After the hike, meet your driver and return to the lodge for dinner and
overnight.
Transfer to Kibale Forest & Crater Lakes Exploration
Wake up early for breakfast before beginning the approximately 5–6 hour
journey towards Kibale Forest National Park.
Stop in Fort Portal, Uganda's tourism city, for lunch before continuing
towards the interior of Kibale.
After checking in at your lodge, head out for a crater lakes exploration
with Isunga Cultural Community Tours. Explore several beautiful crater
lakes while walking through the surrounding community and enjoying the
scenic landscapes.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Chimpanzee Trekking, Tea & Coffee Experience
After breakfast, head to the chimpanzee trekking starting point for a
briefing before entering Kibale Forest in search of chimpanzee communities.
The morning trekking experience provides opportunities to observe
chimpanzees as they move through the forest, feed, groom one another and
interact with their young.
You may also encounter other primates and forest wildlife during the trek.
In the afternoon, enjoy another cultural experience with Isunga Cultural
Community Tours. Meet local tea farmers and learn how tea is planted,
nurtured and harvested. If you wish, participate in tea picking.
You will also learn about traditional coffee preparation, including
pounding and tasting locally prepared coffee before returning to the lodge.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey from Kibale towards
Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The scenic route passes through the crater lake region before entering the
park, where you may already begin seeing wildlife along the way.
Continue to your lodge for check-in and lunch. Later in the afternoon,
embark on an evening game drive in search of elephants, buffaloes, lions,
bush pigs, antelopes and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Ishasha Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
After breakfast, drive towards the Ishasha sector in the southern part of
Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Ishasha is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes open for
these iconic predators resting in large trees or crossing the roads.
You may also encounter elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and numerous bird
species.
Return to the lodge for lunch before proceeding to the Kazinga Channel
for an afternoon boat cruise.
During the cruise, look out for hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water
birds including kingfishers, herons and other species. The channel provides
one of Uganda's most rewarding wildlife viewing experiences.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, set off towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in
southwestern Uganda.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills, local communities and
beautiful countryside of southwestern Uganda.
Upon arrival in the Bwindi region, check in at your booked lodge and enjoy
a relaxed evening as you prepare for the following day's gorilla trekking
experience.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience
Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari. After an early breakfast,
drive to the gorilla trekking starting point and meet the ranger guide who
will brief you before entering Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Begin your search for a habituated mountain gorilla family. Trek through
the dense rainforest while enjoying the spectacular vegetation and forest
environment.
Once you locate the gorillas, spend the permitted time observing their
social behavior, feeding, grooming and interaction within the family.
After the trek, return to the park headquarters and meet your driver before
returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a Batwa cultural experience. Learn about the
traditional forest lifestyle of the Batwa people, interact with community
members and listen to stories shared by local elders.
Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of southwestern Uganda as you travel through
rolling hills, plantations, villages and countryside landscapes.
There will be a lunch stop along the way before continuing towards Kampala
