SAFARI DAY Day 1

Kampala City Experience & Arrival in Uganda

Today marks your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. After completing immigration formalities, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will introduce you to your 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania Safari. After a short briefing about Uganda and the journey ahead, you will depart for Kampala.

The route to Kampala is filled with scattered homesteads, busy streets and everyday Ugandan life. Upon arrival at your hotel, enjoy a warm welcome at reception and check in. Spend the evening relaxing, taking photographs and adapting to the Ugandan weather before dinner and overnight.

SAFARI DAY Day 2

Kampala to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast at around 7:00 AM, check out and begin your scenic 6–7 hour journey towards northwestern Uganda. The route passes through busy towns, lush vegetation and beautiful countryside.

En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for approximately one hour of rhino trekking. The sanctuary provides an opportunity to observe Uganda's white rhinos in a protected natural environment.

After the rhino experience, continue to Masindi for lunch before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. Check in at your lodge, relax and prepare for the adventures that follow.

SAFARI DAY Day 3

Murchison Falls Game Drive & Bottom of the Falls Cruise

After breakfast, head into the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park for approximately 3–4 hours of game viewing. Explore the savannah in search of elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and numerous bird species.

Your guide will explain the wildlife, plants and characteristics of the animals you encounter. With luck, you may witness dramatic wildlife behaviour such as hunting, fighting or other natural events.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile towards the bottom of Murchison Falls. Look for giant Nile crocodiles, hippos, aquatic birds, elephants and other wildlife along the riverbanks before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

SAFARI DAY Day 4

Murchison Falls National Park to Semuliki National Park

Begin your day with a cup of coffee before checking out and embarking on a scenic 7–8 hour journey towards Semuliki National Park.

Semuliki is a biodiversity-rich destination and a haven for birdwatchers. Along the route, enjoy views of plantations, busy towns, roadside vendors, homes and rolling hills. The backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains adds to the spectacular scenery.

Stop in Fort Portal City for lunch before continuing towards Semuliki. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and rest.

SAFARI DAY Day 5

Sempaya Hot Springs Experience

After breakfast, depart for Semuliki National Park and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and mountain scenery along the way. At the park, ranger guides will provide a briefing before leading you on a guided forest walk towards the Sempaya Hot Springs.

Along the trail, enjoy the unique plants, birds and forest wildlife. Spend time at the hot springs taking photographs and experiencing the natural geothermal features. You may also participate in the traditional activity of boiling eggs in the hot water.

Learn about local beliefs surrounding the springs before having lunch in the wild. Return to your lodge around sunset for dinner and overnight.

SAFARI DAY Day 6

Transfer from Uganda to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before beginning the full-day journey towards Rwanda, the Land of a Thousand Hills. Enjoy an en-route lunch and complete the necessary border documentation and verification as you cross into Rwanda.

As you enter Rwanda, appreciate the calm scenery, beautiful landscapes, welcoming communities and rolling hills. Continue towards Volcanoes National Park, home to endangered mountain gorillas and the Karisoke Research Centre associated with Dian Fossey's pioneering gorilla research.

Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and retire for the night.

GORILLA DAY Day 7

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Breakfast and packed lunch will be ready at approximately 6:30 AM. After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for the pre-trekking briefing.

Ranger guides will explain the trekking rules and safety procedures before groups are assigned. The forest walk takes you through the spectacular Volcanoes landscape as you search for your assigned mountain gorilla family.

The trek may take several hours depending on where the gorillas have moved. Once you locate the family, enjoy the permitted viewing time observing the gorillas as they feed, groom, interact and care for their young.

After the unforgettable encounter, return to the lodge, refresh, enjoy dinner and spend a peaceful night.

SAFARI DAY Day 8

Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

After breakfast, check out and begin the 4–5 hour journey towards Nyungwe National Park. Enjoy an en-route lunch and scenic stops along the way as recommended by your driver-guide.

Nyungwe is one of Rwanda's important forest ecosystems and is home to numerous primate species, including chimpanzees. The journey takes you through plantations, villages, busy towns and Rwanda's famous rolling hills.

Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and prepare for the following day's chimpanzee experience.

PRIMATE DAY Day 9

Chimpanzee Trekking & Nyungwe Canopy Walk

Begin the morning with coffee and breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for document verification and a pre-trekking briefing.

Ranger guides will explain the forest, its inhabitants and trekking procedures before you enter the rainforest in search of chimpanzees.

The forest is also home to other primates, birds, mammals and reptiles. Depending on the day, you may encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and other forest species. The chimpanzee trek may take approximately 1–4 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and hiking speed.

After lunch and refreshments, spend the afternoon on the spectacular Nyungwe Canopy Walk. Suspended high above the forest, the walkway provides remarkable views of the rainforest, surrounding landscape and communities beyond the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

FLIGHT DAY Day 10

Nyungwe to Kigali & Flight to Arusha, Tanzania

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive for approximately 4–5 hours towards Kigali International Airport. En route, stop at Nyanza Palace for lunch and a cultural experience.

Continue to Kigali International Airport for your flight to Arusha International Airport in Tanzania. Upon arrival, meet your Tanzanian driver-guide who will brief you about the safari and your time in the country.

Tanzania's dominant language is Swahili, offering you an opportunity to learn a few local words during your journey. Transfer to your hotel, check in, enjoy dinner and overnight.

SAFARI DAY Day 11

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through northern Tanzania's scenic landscapes, with lush vegetation, rolling hills, plantations and rural communities along the route.

Enjoy a lunch stop along the way before continuing towards Serengeti. Arrive later in the day and check in at your lodge.

Serengeti is one of East Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations and is famous for the annual wildebeest migration. Your driver-guide will share stories and information about Tanzania's wildlife and northern safari circuit.

WILDLIFE DAY Day 12

Serengeti Sunrise Game Drive & Transfer to Ngorongoro

At approximately 6:30 AM, begin an early morning game drive through the Serengeti savannah. The sunrise hours provide excellent opportunities to observe predators returning to their resting places while grazing animals begin their day.

Look for hyenas, vultures, lions, leopards, warthogs, wildebeests, waterbucks, impalas and other wildlife. Serengeti is renowned for its vast wildlife populations and the spectacular annual wildebeest migration.

After the game drive, enjoy breakfast in the wild before returning to the lodge to freshen up and check out. Continue towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area through beautiful landscapes and local communities. Arrive in the evening, check in and enjoy dinner.

WILDLIFE DAY Day 13

Full-Day Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Wake up to breakfast at the lodge before descending into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with packed lunch.

Keep your eyes and ears open for lions, leopards, zebras, impalas, warthogs, cheetahs, rhinoceros, hippos, wildebeests, gazelles, buffaloes, elephants and hyenas.

The crater offers spectacular scenery and excellent photography opportunities. Your guide will explain the wildlife, history and unique geology of the Ngorongoro caldera.

Enjoy lunch in the crater before continuing your wildlife exploration. Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha & Safari Departure

Wake up and enjoy a final breakfast before departing Ngorongoro Crater for Arusha.

Depending on your international flight schedule, you may have time for a city tour or another activity in Arusha. Exploring African cities provides an opportunity to experience local lifestyles, history and culture.

Your driver-guide will transfer you to the airport or your agreed departure point, marking the end of your unforgettable 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania Safari.
